Getting Ready

Poles, shoes and bags -- sitting on the floor in a room in Washington, DC.  Shelley just repacked, pulling out more, thereby making her pack lighter.  Question is:  Can she survive on a bit more than two complete changes of clothes for 7 weeks and 3 hikes in Europe?  Bet we unpack and repack at least once more before departure on September 2.  I'm looking forward to lightening my load by chucking a tour book at the end of each leg of the journey or perhaps I'll follow Shelley's New
Zealand approach of ripping out pages as we moved along ...and reducing the stack of postcards I'm bringing...and the stack of paper with individual reservations.  I'd be better off to trust things saved electronically.  But yesterday, we started this blog and neglected the Save button before pushing the Publish button.  Live and learn.

  1. Well John, I lost the first comment i made, so you're not alone.

Two changes of clothes? Aren't you having your bags transported from one place to the next?

Buy the ebook version of your tour book for your kindle and pack some more clothes. Also, you can send documents and pdfs to your kindle via email. So send your travel agenda and other things to your kindle. Here's how. http://www.amazon.com/gp/sendtokindle/email
